Tyler Perry’s Good Deeds Movie Review for Parents

-by Ginger

When an unlikely romance strikes Wesley Deeds, his world is turned upside down.  This family movie review found Good Deeds to be a romance that has no bounds. Wesley Deeds has a life that is structured and predictable. He is a wealthy businessman, who knows what he wants in life. At least he thinks that he knows what he wants, until he meets Lindsey, a single mother working on a cleaning crew in the office building where he works. It is love and both of them are swept into a whirlwind romance that leaves both of them gasping for breath. This sounds like a happy story, and it is a happy story, but it is not for the young ones in the family.
The Good Deeds movie has its fair share of sexual content, violence and thematic material, enough to earn it a PG-13 rating. However, this family movie review finds the movie to be closer to an R than a PG. The Good Deeds movie was not intended to be for children. It is an adult movie, about adult themes. The kids probably would not even be interested in it at all. This movie would earn the teenager eye roll award for adults doing things that embarrass them. It is an excellent drama for adults.
Good Deeds is a dramatic movie that takes the viewers into the heart of the city and the lives that are the fabric of the world in which we live. Through Lindsay, Wesley learns to loosen up a little bit and to learn that life is not all about work. Lindsey brings out the lighter side of Wesley and soon he finds that he likes it. This film deals with some tough issues and dilemmas that average people have to face. It is an enlightening film that takes the viewer into the world of the working class.
The Good Deeds movie will make the adults think about some important topics and ask themselves some serious moral questions. However, it is not a film for the kids. Good Deeds would be a great date night movie, but this family movie review advises to get a sitter for this one. It is a serious movie filled with drama and would not be likely to keep the attention of children.
