The Dark Knight
- -Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lt. Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as the Joker.

The movie should be reviewed by parents before allowing children under thirteen to watch due to the PG-13 rating. The rating is for intense sequences of violence and some menace. The movie is based on a comic book series so parents may mistakenly believe that it ok for young children. Small children may find many of the scenes intense and frightening. The movie is appropriate for teens and up.
The DVD and Blu-ray was released in December of 2008. There is a one disc DVD version or there is a two-disc special edition version available on both DVD and Blu-ray.
