Larry is back with a band of new characters for your enjoyment in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. This action comedy is the sequel to the 2009 movie Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. This Parental Guide to the movies thinks that this one will be fun for the entire family.

When the magic powers of the Ahkmenrah begin to diminish, Larry brings together an all-star case that includes his son Nicky, Theodore Roosevelt, Octavius, Sacagawea, a Neanderthal, and Dexter who is a Capuchin Monkey. They travel the globe to save the magic before it is lost forever.

This movie has a high cuteness factor with an Indiana Jones flair. The tablet begins to glow at night and the entire museum comes to life. Larry and company must find the answer to what is wrong with the tablet, before all of the characters in the museums are gone forever, to become just ordinary displays. This is a fun-filled family adventure that puts Abraham Lincoln in a conversation with a knight of the roundtable. A dinosaur comes crashing through the wall. A monkey puts out the lava running down the streets of Pompeii. Herds of zebras run down the hallway and cats chase laser pointers. This movie is nonstop craziness and comedy throughout the entire movie.

There is some strong language and rude humor, but nothing more than the average 8 year old has not heard at school once or twice. This movie is fun for the entire family and will keep them guessing who or what will show up next. There is no reason why your family should not go see this one. This parental guide to the movies thinks that it is pure silliness and fun from beginning to end. Just donäó»t forget the popcorn.
