Morning Glory
- -When hard-working TV producer Becky Fuller is fired from a local news program, her career begins to look as bleak as her hapless love life. Stumbling into a job at "Daybreak" (the last-place national morning news show), Becky decides to revitalize the show by bringing on legendary TV anchor Mike Pomeroy.  Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts – let alone work with his new co-host, Colleen Peck, a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality who is more than happy covering morning "news." As Mike and Colleen clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, Becky's blossoming love affair with fellow producer, Adam Bennett begins to unravel – and soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.

Morning Glory tells the story of a television producer who must revive a failing morning show, despite problems with the celebrity anchors. The produceräó»s job is difficult and she must struggle to pull the group together. The young producer is driven and enthusiastic. On a positive note, the main character is a determined woman who is charismatic and takes on the challenge. In the end, she is successful despite her struggles with the cast members.
Morning Glory was rated PG-13 for some sexual content and drug references. Sexual content was based in the dialogue and is brief. The MPAA forgot to include drinking on the job and a brief clothed (but suggestive) sexual act behind a couch. They also forgot the dirty dancing scene, and live frog kissing by one of the anchors. The anchors in the movie are rude and obnoxious to one another. It shows adult behavior at its worst. The characters in the movie might not represent the best role models. In the movie, they are high profile, therefore should be expected to be better examples, but that is not what this movie portrays.
This is another one of those movies that did not technically cross the line into an R rating, but it definitely contained enough suggestion of sexual acts to make it inappropriate for those under the age of 13. This is not a safe movie for children under 10 due to the poor role models that are portrayed by the main characters. I would rate Morning Glory closer to an R than a straight PG-13. Parents should definitely use caution with this movie that shows adults behaving poorly.
