With an all-star cast that includes Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, and Keke Palmer, Joyful Noise is sure to take you for a fun ride. This family movie review finds that this story of small town America is Americana at its best. In this story, a small rural town in Georgia has fallen on hard times. Like many towns today, they need nothing less than a miracle to pull them out of despair. They are depending on the Divinity Church Choir to lift their spirits by winning the National Joyful Noise Competition.

The plot thickens when two leading ladies develop discord about the choiräó»s singing style. In the past, they have always sung in harmony, but that is about to change. When Queen Latifah (Rose) and Dolly Parton (G.G.) get into the mix, the music made is nothing resembling harmonious. The tension increases with the arrival of G.G.äó»s rebellious grandson, who has his eye set on Roseäó»s daughter. These two teenagers heat things up even further between the two leading ladies.

This family movie review sees some similarity to the movie Sister Act, only without the Las Vegas mob stuff. This musical is a wonderful trip into rural America that will inspire and delight. It was rated by the MPAA as a PG-13 for some sexual references. The references are to the tune of äóìget your Beyonceäó» out of my faceäó and other similar insults between the lead femmes, as well as some teenage innuendos.

This move, Joyful Noise, is about faith, hope, determination, and is filled with songs of praise and worship. It is about raising oneäó»s voice joyfully and being the best that one can be. It would be difficult to pack any more positive themes or vibes into this movie. This family move review finds it filled with small town politics, wonderful music, and a whole lot of gettingäó» the groove on.

This family movie is about good music, relationships, dreams and a lot of fun. This parental guide to the movies thinks that it is a must see for the entire family. It is Okay for the little ones because they probably would not even understand the content that made it a PG-13. This is a conservative movie with conservative ideals. The smaller ones would probably enjoy the music, if nothing else. It is really hard to say why the Joyful Noise movie about a church choir in a conservative small town received a PG-13 and would be considered inappropriate for those younger. Hmmmmm, Man on A Ledge, a violent story about a suicidal ex-convict was also given a PG-13, but then again, that is why we at Parental Guide movie reviews are here for you.
