Those who have the financial means can buy their way off of the clock. The clock is etched into their forearm and everyone knows when their time is up. They can literally see their own clock running down. The wealthy can stop the clock. Will Salas lashes out against a two-class system in which the wealthy have life and the poor only have a limited time left. This movie has a theme about oneäó»s days being numbered.
Those who can buy their way out, have a chance at immortal life. This is a violent movie with lots of gunfire, car crashes, and every thing that an action movie could want. It is milder than a Bruce Willis movie, but only in the quantity of the violence, it is comparable to quality of violence though. This movie makes a strong statement about class divisions in society. In this movie time is a commodity that can be bought, sold, and used as a lending instrument. This movie is filled with corruption, intrigue and the dark side of human nature.
This family movie guide does not feel that this movie is appropriate for the very young. It is a dark movie that contains violence, sexual references, and some partial nudity. To say that the language is strong is an understatement. This movie guide found that In Time has strong adult themes about life, death, and the idea that oneäó»s days are numbered since the day of their birth. It has disturbing themes that the young ones might not be ready to handle emotionally. This parental guide to the movies does not feel that it is appropriate for children under the age of 13, it is just too disturbing, not only from a content standpoint, but from a thematic standpoint as well.
