Creatures of the night will be coming out in full force for Dracula Untold. Luke Evans plays Vlad Tepe, the man who would eventually become Dracula, the most famous of all vampires. This is the story of how it all happened. This will be a delight for vampire fans, but this is not a tame movie by any stretch of the imagination. This family guide to the movies has the story on this upcoming mythic tale.

First off, this move is dark, spooky, eerie, and gothic. It is based on the famous novel, Dracula, by Bram Stoker. Bram Stoker vampires are not known for being mild mannered and refined, except or course, when they are looking for their next victim. This means that there are scenes of sensuality, vampire attacks, and vampire sucking women’s blood. This one also involves intense warfare scenes, and disturbing images that will invade the nightmares of anyone who might dare to watch it, that is, unless those nightmares are already there.

The focus of the movie is on warfare in the ancient world. The war is the main element of the film, but with a supernatural twist. In this film, the audience comes to see how an ordinary man could go down the path to the dark side of the world between life and death. Vlad has the motivation to become Dracula, and he gets his wish through the help of a supernatural creature. There is a love interest who tries to convince him not to turn to the dark side. Some of the most disturbing images involve the innocent little boy and his path to evil.

This is a dark movie, and that is the point. It is frightening, which is expected. This parental guide to the movies thinks that this is not a move for members of the family under 13 years old. It is a dark movie that tells a dark tale in the most violent manner possible. Timed to release a few weeks before Halloween, this one is certain to add to the mood of the holiday.
