  1. Fine for the kids but the franchise seems worn out. I found it harder to engage vs. the first Despicable Me movie. Which is to be expected. Gru (Steve Carell) and Lucy ( Kristen Wigg) fail to to capture villian, Balthazar Bratt ( Trey Parker), and get fired. Gru hoping to get this job back, teams with with the long lost twin, Dru. Dru brings Gru to Freedonia and tempts him to become a villian again, where they plot to rob Bratt of a diamond. Then the movie jumps to many other plots that just do not go anywhere.

    An Okay movie for kids.
