Blended is not exactly Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore’s version of the Brady Bunch, but it is close, sort of. This situation comedy revolves around a man and a woman who end up stuck at a resort for families. Their love grows as their kids become closer together. This family movie review knows that Adam Sandler fans will love this one, but with a word of caution. This movie is done in typical Adam Sandler crude fashion.

As one can guess, this movie has its fair share of sexual references and foul language. It shows many of the realities of being a single parent. Taking the kids along, particularly young teens makes for some interesting moments. The teens are on the make as much as the parents. A teen girl is transformed into sexy young woman at one point in the movie. She comes out wearing a dress that makes her appear to be quite the adult. She gains the attention of every man in the room. Some parents may not wish for their younger children to see all of the realities of teen life just yet.

This movie shows the realities of family life as they are. It has its share of drama and surprises. The kids always have some antics that keep their parents guessing. The kids do their fair share of trying to make the parents interested in becoming more than friends. The parents make a vow never to see each other again, but it does not exactly work out as expected.

One does have to give Adam Sandler credit, he is a dedicated father and Drew Barry more is a dedicated mother. They both put their children ahead of their own life. This movie is an example of the new rules of parenting. Before and after they start falling in love, these parents are completely dedicated to their kids. They are willing to do anything for their kids. This parental guide to the movies sees some redeeming family values mixed in with Adam Sandler’s unique style of comedy. This is a fun family movie in many ways, but there are some portions that may not be the most family friendly. This one was quite mild for Adam Sandler.
