One Eye (Mads Mikkelsen), a mute warrior, becomes the slave of a wealthy Scotsman. One Eye is valued for his great fighting skills and ultimately kills the Scotsman. As he sets out on his own, One Eye is joined by a young boy who speaks for him. He joins a band of Vikings who have set out to claim Jerusalem. The trek is met with resistance and One Eye must protect himself and the young boy.
