The A Team tells the story of a group of four elite force veterans who must clear their name after being framed for crimes that they did not commit. The movie, directed by Joe Canahan, is full of adventure. The movie contains violence. I do repeat, this movie contains violence. Sometimes violent acts are presented with a tongue in cheek humor. Humor in the movie is based on presentation of the ridiculous in terms of the actions of the characters. For instance, team member Howling Mad Murdock tries to jump-start an ambulance with a defibrillator. There are many scenes of acts that could never happen in real life (or at least are highly unlikely to the average person). It contains almost non-stop airplane and car stunts, explosions, boat stunts, tank stunts, and lots of fancy shooting. The main plot of the film stems from the crazy personalities of the four main characters.
The A Team is a fun movie for those fans of action-packed movies that are fast paced with lots of stunts. However, this movie is definitely not for children who are not old enough to distinguish what is real from what is not. Small children under the age of 13 should not see this movie. It shows people being killed, punched, and other forms of demise, many of which are presented in a comic book-like cartoon fashion. Only they are not animated and played by real people on the screen. The movie has a heavy connection to the Vietnam War.
