Is The Cold Light of Day a movie for the entire family? This can be answered in two words…Bruce…Willis. Yes, Bruce Willis places a major role in this movie. He is not the lead this time, but he is a major character in the movie. He plays the intelligence agent who pits himself against the lead character. This being said, it should give you a good idea about the content and intensity of the movie. Bruce Willis is not known for his mild mannered ways and his character holds true in his suspense thriller. There are plenty of guns, bullets, explosions, chase scenes, and other elements that one might expect in a Bruce Willis movie. As one can expect, it is rated PG-13 for language and sexual content, but then again, this can be expected from a Bruce Willis movie.
The Cold Light of Day is a dark film about a man who must fight to save his family. It has an all star cast including Sigourney Weaver, Joseph Mawle, and Caroline Goodall. This cast, along with Bruce Willis is not known for nice, quiet movies that include fluffy bunnies as characters. These are tough guys and are known for tough films.
The Cold Light of Day is a disturbing movie and this parental guide to the movies thinks that it is not an excellent choice for those that are sensitive to extreme violence or small children. If you are an action-adventure fan, then this one is probably right up your alley. But, it you are not a fan of violence and action, then maybe it would be better to have some popcorn at home and donate your seat to someone who likes this type of flick.
