During an election year, Cam Brady, Will Ferrell, a long-term congressman from North Carolina makes a major mistake that gets lots of negative press. Two powerful CEO's decide to create a rival candidate, Marty Huggins, Zach Galifianakis, the director of the tourism center. Although, Marty has no experience, the campaign machine creates a viable candidate.
