This summer's movie selection is all about little creatures with big dreams. First, we had Turbo, the turtle with a need for speed, and now we have the cropduster with pie in the sky dreams of something bigger. Dusty is a cropdusting plane who wants to compete in a world famous aerial race. There is much more to this tale, and Parental Guide to family movies has all you need to know when it comes to summer fun for the family.
In this animated tale, Dusty wants to enter the big race, but he has one problem. He is hopelessly afraid of heights. The story is about how Dusty overcomes his fears to realize his dreams. He is supported by his mentor, Skipper and many friends. It has a similar overcoming challenges type of theme as Turbo. It delivers a positive message about being who you really want to be and overcoming challenges.
Like many movies for this age group, it was rated PG for some action scenes that might be too scary for the very little ones. It does have one or two mild bodily function references for humor. It is really a cute adventure by Disney on the same line as Cars. It is a cute movie that will be delightful for the whole family. This movie is about an underdog that must face their worst enemy to be what they always wanted to be. In this movie, the obstacle and enemy is from within. It is a story of hope and courage that will inspire all members of the family.
This highflying fun movie for kids will be fun for the whole family. There are many different types of historical planes from World War II, making it a type of animated air show. This will be one the family wants to own when it comes out on video. Seeing it just once will not be enough.
