Michael Jackson’s concert film This Is It was released to theaters in October of 2009. The movie was also screened on IMAX 3D theaters. The DVD Blu-ray release is scheduled for February 2010.

The film documents the concert series by the same name and features on stage performances and behind the scenes action. The movie is rated PG for suggestive choreography and scary images. The scary images deal with intense special effect for the stage show. The movie was released only eighteen days after Michael’s death, so parents should be ready to discuss this fact with older children who may be curious.

It is expected the DVD and Blu-ray will feature bonus features and extras not seen in theatres, as usual extra content is not rated.
