Lion King Family Movie Summary
The Lion King continues to be the highest grossing hand-drawn film in history. The movie follows young Simba through his journey to claim his title as king of all the land touched by the sun. Banished from his homeland by his evil Uncle Scar, Simba befriends a crazy meerkat named Timon and a naive warthog named Pumbaa who help him to focus on the positive and give him a chance to grow up until being beckoned back to his homeland when Simba realizes his destiny and returns to the Pride Lands to claim his place in the "Circle of Life."

The all-star vocal talents include Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Ernie Sabella. Couple the music with the originally dynamic storytelling and you have an animated adventure that you will thoroughly enjoy.
Like many Disney movies there is a villain and a brief look at death, but the adorable characters, doses of comedy and an uplifting message of courage, loyalty and hope carry you along and leave you smiling. It’s a timeless tale that provides a high level of entertainment for all ages.
