Lion King Movie Review for Parents - Our View

-by Allison

The Academy Award-winning music -- Best Original Score, 1994; Best Song, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" – takes this movie to new horizons. The all-star vocal talents include Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane, and Ernie Sabella. Couple the music with the originally dynamic storytelling and you have an animated adventure that you will thoroughly enjoy.

Like many Disney movies there is a villain and a brief look at death, but the adorable characters, doses of comedy and an uplifting message of courage, loyalty and hope carry you along and leave you smiling. It’s a timeless tale that provides a high level of entertainment for all ages.

See why Parental Guide picked this movie as a top 15 favorite family movie.
