The story of Knight and Day centers on the main character, Diaz, who finds herself suddenly embroiled in an adventure plot with a secret agent who is not supposed to survive his latest mission. This story is about learning to depend on one another. This story of intrigue has car crashes, shoot ‘em ups, and lots of adventure. It is not set in a realistic manner. It is OK for older children and young teens.

Knight and Day is a fun, high action, romantic comedy. Overall, the movie is formulaic, but entertaining and engaging primarily due to the cast, (Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz) the pacing and special effects. This movie is too intense and confusing to small children. However, it should be entertaining for teens who have yet to be exposed to the formula too many times. Go see the movie and just enjoy.

A young woman, June Havens (Cameron Diaz) is just trying to fly to her sister’s wedding, finds herself pulled into a secret agent conflict by Roy Miller (Tom Cruise).

She is uncertain if Roy is the good guy or the bad guy trying to protect the Zephyr, a mysterious device, or steal it. The action scenes are fast and furious and keep your attention as the plot develops. Tom Cruise is one of Hollywood’s best action actors and does not disappoint. He also throws in some believable comedy and has good chemistry with Cameron Diaz.

While not destined for an Oscar nod, Knight and Day is a fun, summer action movie.
