Killers, with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl, is a predictable summer romance flick. Boy meets girl, they fall in love, move to the suburbs and become yuppies. Now throwing the ex-spy twist and multi million contract on the boy’s life and you have Killers. For the most part the movie is an uninspired romantic comedy, not a total miss however it is not as entertaining as it could be.
The movie begins in Nice, France where Jen (Heigl) is recovering from a bad breakup and Spencer (Kutcher) has a job to do for the CIA. They meet, marry, and Spencer quits his “government job” and they move to the burbs. All well and good, until 3 years later when someone from their inner circle tries to kill Spencer, followed by another attempt to kill Spencer. Spencer is forced to reveal his past profession to Jen and they join forces to find the assassin.
