Movie Summary

A tale of a family that moves into an old house and begins to suspect they are under siege from spirits trapped in the house. When their young son inexplicably falls into a deep coma, all out war begins between the parents the spirits.

Shortly after moving, a family discovers that dark spirits have possessed their home and that their son has inexplicably fallen into a coma. Trying to escape the haunting and save their son, they move again only to discover that it was not their house that was haunted. From the makers of Paranormal Activity and Saw is Insidious, a movie designed with fantasy and horror with a touch of comedy. First released in Canada in October 2010, the movie is making its American release April 1. The film contains some of the most well-executed and well-timed scares seen on film in a long time.

Insidious takes the viewer on an entertaining, suspenseful ride with bits of humor thrown in just at the right times. Rated PG-13, this is best seen by the more mature crowd who can handle being freaked out by paranormal activity, especially when it involves a child. Those who are fans of creepy horror flicks will probably love it – children around the age of 13, not as much. It is more worthy of an R-rating.
