A young Hasidic Jew, Sam Gold, (Jesse Eisenberg) becomes disenchanted with his families plans for an arranged marriage and for him to become a rabbi.
A neighbor offers up an alternative transporting "medicine" and Sam easily falls into the fast world of Manhattan and Amsterdam nightlife.
Sam proves to be very good at his new job and is drawn deeper into their detrimental lifestyle. His life tears his family apart and he is forced to make a choice. An adult movie.
