Movie Review for Parents

Get Low is a movie about outcasts. The movie begins with an introduction to a character known as Felix Bush. Rumors and gossip float around the town about Felix. One day Felix decides to have a funeral and invite everyone who has a story about him to tell it. Without giving away the spoiler, at the funeral, it is Felix who has the real story to tell. The story is set in the 1930s.
It was rated PG-13 for thematic material and some violent content. Felix is a backwoods recluse with a ZZ-Top style beard. He likes to pull shotguns on people who trespass and drink moonshine from a jar. Felix makes many off color comments that are not appropriate for small children. The themes are adult in nature, but not so overt that a teen cannot see it. I would not consider it a straight PG-13, due to adult themes.
