Many parents choose to stick with a theme for their bedding, as well as the nursery as a whole in some cases. One popular thematic choice is baby bird bedding. With their ability to fly and their unique shapes and colors, birds are more than capable of capturing the imagination of most children. Often this will include sheets or blankets with different kinds of birds on them.
Sometimes parents choose a theme not just for the bedding, but to be part of the nursery as a whole. This can include model birds hanging from the ceiling, as well as a distinctive kind of wallpaper. In complete bedding sets, bumpers, matching ruffles and comforters often come with the same theme and design as the crib sheet. In fact, some cribs are sold with the bedding included, meant to consistently convey this theme in all bedding aspects. Some parents might prefer to buy these items separately, however, judging some of them to be unnecessary.
Of course, as with any other kind of bedding, you will first and foremost want to make sure that you choose bedding materials that are comfortable, safe and soft. At the same time, you will want bedding that is not too loose or too soft to guard against accidental falling or slipping. Don’t let these concerns warn you away from sticking to your theme, though; it is possible to find baby bird bedding that is safe, comfortable, and sticks to your theme.
